SILVERSMITHING WORKSHOPS AND CLASSES

Unless otherwise noted, supplies will be discussed during the first class session.

 

Kansas Creations – NEW

In these one day workshops, students will learn different stamping, cutting and texturizing techniques to create unique one of a kind Kansas themed project on copper. Examples will be provided. All supplies included. Additional copper can be purchased at the front desk. Age 14+

 

Cool Cooper Cuffs – NEW

Students will learn how to create copper bracelets and larger cuffs using several techniques including stamping and hammering textures. The possibilities are endless! Copper can be purchased through the front desk. Age 16+

Form-Fold Copper – NEW

Using texture and a variety of folding techniques, students will create a multitude of pendants and earrings. Enameling will be discussed. Copper can be purchased through the front desk. Age 16+ No class 7/4

 

Silversmithing

CityArts’ versatile metalsmithing studio offers experiences in jewelry fabrication (sawing, soldering and stone setting), lost wax casting (centrifugal), forging, forming, even enameling and lapidary on a limited basis. If you have ever wanted to create jewelry for yourself or someone else, this is the class to take. The purchase of silver and stones will be discussed during first class (approximately $30 per project). No class 7/1-7/6.
