Professional Development Series: Copyright & Intellectual Property

Rebecca Stroder is Vice President of Legal at FireEye, Inc. Rebecca supervises all legal aspects of the company’s breach response practice, including working with customers’ legal teams, advising on international data security and privacy issues, and working with insurers. Rebecca also works closely with FireEye’s intelligence teams in developing and publishing intelligence about cyber attack activity. Rebecca is a Certified Information Systems Security Professional. Prior to joining FireEye, Rebecca practiced with SNR Denton, where she specialized in copyright and technology matters, including large technology procurement transactions, software copyright and trade secret litigation, and open source licensing issues. Rebecca is Adjunct Professor of Intellectual Property Law at the University of Missouri-Kansas City School of Law, and serves as the Past President of Kansas City Volunteer Lawyers and Accountants for the Arts, a non-profit dedicated to providing pro bono legal assistance to low-income artists and arts organizations in Kansas and Western Missouri.

This series is designed to provide local and regional artists with opportunities to grow professionally and connect with local experts through panel discussions and networking opportunities. All sessions are free an open to the public. Topics were chosen based upon survey results from nearly 90 local artists. Future topics will be determined by interest from the artist community. All workshops are free, open to the public and will be held at CityArts at 334 N. Mead.
