CityArts Cupcake Challenge

The CityArts Cupcake Challenge is a fundraiser to support CityArts' programming to underserved populations in the community.

Saturday, Aug. 5  |  12-3 p.m.  |  Main Gallery  |  Admission limited to 100 attendees

Contestants with the best cupcake recipe can submit their cupcake to be judged by a panel of local foodies. Three categories will be open for entries.

Want to enter?
$25 entry fee for contestants
Entries capped at 40 participants
Contestants must bring 4 cupcakes for submission on the day of the event for judging.
Contestants should bring additional cupcakes for the public to vote on for best-of-show (up to 100 attendees).

Want to try some cupcakes?
Tickets go on sale Monday, June 5. Tickets are $10. Event limited to 100 attendees. Ticket gives patron access to cupcake samples, voting ballots for best-of-show and access to food-related games and art projects.

In this time of posting "selfies," this workshop will help you create a self-portrait the old fashion way by using different waterbed painting media in conjunction with some dry media. The objective of this project is to use the anatomy of the your face in order to produce a likeness by staying painterly and not photographic. The work will be executed on canvas masonite board or heavy 140LBS and up paper.
